My Fishing Pond draws winner for shotgun raffle

     Our first fund raiser raffle was in 2002, a one night stay at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Sioux Falls, SD. After 10 years we now have a Sioux Falls, Mitchell and golfing packages and we will be selling tickets in November or December 2011.

    We recently had the drawing for the Mossberg over/under shotgun and 2 person hunt at A1-Al’s valued at $1,115.00 plus a 2^nd winner for a one person hunt valued at $250.00. The drawing took place at Firesteel Healthcare in Mitchell, SD. Leonard Vobr drew the winner for the shotgun and Karen Prickett drew the winner for the one person hunt. The fun didn’t stop then, we had a cake and coffee and talked about the two events when they came to the pond and fished.

    When I called the first winner, I talked to Sandra Wegmann, she had bought the ticket from Brian King, a volunteer from Emery, SD that was working in Edgewood, IA. She said My Fishing Pond Inc was a great organization and she wanted to help so she put her husbands name down. What a great anniversary present that turned out to be, as they celebrated 34 years of marriage on September 24^th. Sandra works in the bank and Carl works at Silveredge Coop and they still farm, so when Carl comes to hunt, looks like Sandra will have to hold down the fort at home.

     The one day hunt valued at $250.00 was won by Rex Sampson from Brock Buffalo, WY. He was visiting Steven Carlson my next door neighbor and I sold him some tickets. He also knew about the Pond and the purpose.

     Let me tell you about our 2012 shotgun fundraisers. We have a Beretta A400 XPLOR Lite 12 9A semi-auto shotgun and two person hunt from A1-Al’s Pheasant Ranch in Emery, SD with a value of $1,800.00 for the first place winner. The second place winner will receive a one person hunt valued at $250.00 from A1-Al’s Ranch. The drawing will be held September 28, 2012, need not be present to win. The other shotgun is a Remington 870 Express SMAG Waterfall 12 ga pump action full camo. You can buy squares for $10.00 for this raffle and when it is full we draw. Need not be present to win.
